The Chapel In The Pines Centennial will be celebrated with numerous events in the summer of 2024. We will have our kickoff event on Sunday, July 7th 2024. Join us for worship at 10:00 a.m.

The Centennial Schedule includes:
June 30th: First Chapel service of 2024 @ 10:00 a.m.
July 4th: See our Centennial Float in the Three Lakes parade.
July 7th: Centennial Kick-Off Sunday at the Chapel. Join us for a Centennial birthday cake after the service.
July 28th: Historic Re-enactment of the Floating Vespers service at 4:00 p.m. on Little Fork Lake. The first Christian settlers of the area congregated in boats in the middle of the lake to sing hymns and enjoy floating fellowship. We will do likewise!
Note: There is no rain date for Vespers.
August 4th: Community Potluck after Chapel @ 11:30 a.m.. Please come to worship and bring a dish to share. Bring your own folding chairs please.
During the 9 Sundays that the Chapel is open, we will add historical
tidbits of information during announcements. Please enjoy the
Centennial displays depicting life on the Point over the past 100 years.

John Colburn, longtime Preacher’s Point resident and potter, has created Centennial Christmas tree ornaments. These will be on sale at after each Chapel service as a keepsake for the first 100 years. All proceeds will go toward the ongoing care and maintenance of the Chapel in The Pines.
